Outside My Window

The white stuff outside my window isn't snow.

It's hail.

LOTS of hail.

Pretty unusual for summertime in Denver, I'm told.

And all that green stuff you see? Those are leaves from the trees and plants, knocked off by all those fast-falling chunks of ice.

How's the weather outside your window today?

  1. Oh...I hate to tell you that the sun is shinning and the sky is blue.  The wind is gently blowing the leaves...should I stop?  Ha!  I don't think I've ever seen hail like that.  I hope the weather cleared for you.

  2. Lucky you, Pamela!  :)  Enjoy your sunshine and blue skies! The hail was kind enough to leave me some green leaves to rustle in a gentle summer breeze...if summer comes back!

  5. Whoa!!!! That is CRAZY! We're to the point that we don't care what form moisture comes in if it will only come. :) I do hope it didn't tear things up for you.

  7. Our vegetable garden is in shreds but most everything else will survive. Tomorrow we clean up all the leaf shed from the trees and soon we'll turn over the garden to replant some lettuce and spinach. Most bummed that we lost our pumpkins  :(  We've been inundated lately, Anne! Wish I could send some your way!

  8. Hope he enjoyed his visit, Glenda! We're supposed to be land of 300 days of sunshine. We've had about 10 days in a row of rain so we're ready for some of that sun!

Despite the continuing thunder and lightening, we couldn't help getting our feet out in that hail. So weird!

  9. Too much is as big a problem as too little--so sorry it damaged things. I know our girls would be devastated if their pumpkin plants died. Okay, not devastated, but really, REALLY sad. It's just so very hard to keep anything alive here, especially years like this, that they are quite vested in the things that are still holding tenuously to life. :)
